Coloradoan Conversations is the Coloradoan’s opinion forum. Each week they pose conversation-starting questions focused on local issues online at Coloradoan.com/opinion, moderate online discussion, and then recap the best discussion points. The Conversation platform is outside of the Coloradoan fire wall, so anyone can view comments and post without having a subscription to the Coloradoan. A free registration process is required, however. You can create a new account here.

This week’s question is:

What’s on the ballot? Let’s talk about this year’s Fort Collins, statewide measures

The Coloradoan and the Colorado State University Center for Public Deliberation, along with our Deliberative Journalism Project partners, are focusing in part on four of the referenda issues that are a part of this November’s election: Ballot issue 2A and 2B in Fort Collins, and Colorado’s Proposition HH and Proposition II.

This week we are asking readers to let us know their thoughts on these four issues on our Coloradoan Conversations platform, as well as via a survey the Center for Public Deliberation has set up. The Center for Public Deliberation is particularly interested in understanding the reasons people hold for their positions in favor or opposed to each of the four issues.
